What a brand listing means
These pages bring together information about the brands and equipment we use, alongside our reasons for choosing them. Inclusion does not establish a commercial partnership, manufacturer certification or approval.
Brand information explains our equipment choices. Individual reviews describe our experience with particular products and the applications they may suit.
How to read our reviews
We separate practical observations from manufacturer specifications. A feature appearing in a menu is not the same as a feature whose performance we have evaluated.
Practical results are reported in the context of the test conditions. Observations from a particular installation or test should not be treated as guaranteed performance in every setting.
We identify untested areas and avoid assigning a numerical score without a defined assessment. Results depend on the lens, focus, lighting, exposure, settings, scene and subject movement.
Sources and changes
Manufacturer sources are linked in the relevant article. Specifications, compatibility and support dates can change; check current manufacturer information before purchasing.
Further testing should be added to the relevant review with an updated date and a clear description of what changed.
